It was fun to work on the concept for Orsted Day and later execute on the many different installations we had invented.
Ørsted had just got their new name and was undergoing a green transformation. The name refers to the Danish scientist Hans Christian Ørsted (1777-1851) That was the author of many new discoveries that lay the foundation to the way we produce energy today,
The thought of renewable energy sources and the logo itself is circular just like our earth. So our concept of a taking the employee event outdoors making a circular hike of 1777 meters was a winner.
An idea that seemed quite simple during the initial concept was an aerial photo of all employees in the logo shape. To make this happen we need a big field where we could spray mark a 50-meter wide circle. Interrupt all guest to use 45 min positioning without being able to see the exact shot. Using walkies to guide a shooting crew of 10 people.that could move people into place. The final picture was worth it all.
Shout out to our drone pilot - Drone Rune.
We built a park full of scenes, tents, activities, and kids' playgrounds. Orsted had a visual element called the lifestream so to make everyone more aware of this we made a big wall with a social led screen on one side and an analog sticker wall on the other side. This 'live' sticker wall would represent the participants shared lifestream of the day.
